Taking My Ride With Destiny: Cycling Korea & Japan (Video)
When our son Neil was seven months old we went on a cycling trip to South Korea – from Seoul to Busan and then around Jeju Island and Japan – across Kyushu and island hopping south to Okinawa. Although we had both done many cycling trips before, we didn’t know what it would be like to travel by bike with our baby in tow. It really felt like we were taking our ride with destiny… It turned out to be an amazing experience, and such a great way to get to know our son and see him develop every day. We had many people helping and reaching out to us along the way, which made this trip even more special. We hope you’ll enjoy this ten minute clip which summarizes the journey.

Hi. I found your site by chance. I am a first time cyclist interested in cycling the 4 rivers path next year with a 2 years old and a 5 years old kids. I am searching for opinions and best plans. As you did it already with a toddler and a trailer and it looks you cycle with him quite a lot I think I may have a lot to learn from your experience.

We’d highly recommend doing the Four Rivers Trail with kids, or without – it is almost completely off the road, is very scenic, it’s easy to find spots to camp, and doesn’t have much elevation gain. You can see some details in our other blog post: http://inmagicland.com/2015/10/south-korea-part-1/. Let us know if you have any specific questions, and we’ll try to answer them. Good luck!
